Effective Date: March 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Alpha Rideshare LLC dba Ride Howl ("RideHowl," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our rideshare platform. We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal data.
By using RideHowl, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use our services.
When you create an account or use our services, we collect the following information:

For Drivers:
When you use RideHowl, we automatically collect:
Location Data. RideHowl does not use GPS tracking during rides or at any other time while the App is in use. Location information is collected only when you manually enter pickup and drop-off addresses. The "Map Route" feature sends address data to Google Maps to calculate a route from the Driver's current location to the pickup and drop-off points; however, the Driver's current location is determined by Google Maps and is not pinged, collected, or stored by RideHowl.
We collect limited technical information:
We may use third-party analytics tools or tracking pixels.
We use driver financial data (fares, tips, and platform fees) to provide earnings analytics to drivers through the platform. This feature is available to Navigator and Captain tier subscribers.
We may use your information to comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or government requests.
We share your information in the following limited circumstances:
To facilitate rides, we share:
IMPORTANT — TRANSFER OF CONTROL: Once RideHowl provides your data to the Driver (or vice versa) for the purpose of fulfilling the transportation service, that data becomes subject to the recipient's own business records. Drivers are independent business owners, not employees of RideHowl. RideHowl does not control, and is not responsible for, how an independent Driver stores or uses your contact information outside of the RideHowl Platform. By booking with a Driver, you consent to that Driver retaining your contact information for their business records, consistent with their own privacy practices.
We share information with the following third-party services:
Stripe (Payment Processing):
We use Stripe to process all payments and manage driver payouts. When you provide payment information or set up a driver payout account, that information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. RideHowl does not store your complete payment card information or bank account details. Stripe has its own privacy policy available at stripe.com/privacy.
Google Maps (Location Services):
We use Google Maps API to help you enter addresses and calculate routes. When you use location features, Google may collect information according to their privacy policy available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with legal obligations; (b) protect our rights or property; (c) prevent fraud or abuse; or (d) protect the safety of our users or the public.
If RideHowl is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership.
We may share your information in other circumstances with your explicit consent.
All data stored with RideHowl is encrypted at rest and in motion using AWS Lightsail (all data fields) and AWS S3 (profile pictures) encryption. Passwords are stored as an encrypted hash utilizing an industry-leading algorithm (Argon2), with only the hashed values stored in the database (no plaintext passwords are stored anywhere).
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
